Consumer Access to Critical Food Safety Information

Americans are dining out more than ever, and each time putting the health and safety of their families in the hands of restaurateurs and restaurant employees. But how do we know that restaurants are taking effective food safety measures? Public health inspectors visit restaurants with varying frequency, but consumers usually have no access to the results. Grade cards posted in the front windows of restaurants give consumers a quick-and-easy reference before they select a dining destination, allowing them to see how a restaurant performed on its most recent food safety inspection.
